Youth soccer training practice begins with juggling the soccer ball for the first 10 minutes of practice.
Boys progress to timed touches with the soccer ball to get the maximum number of touches in 90 second soccer drills with the ball.
⚽️ JUGGLING & BALL CONTROL
⚽️ AIR BALLS
I watch the boys technique and encourage quickness and maximum effort.
Interruptions are kept to a minimum. I only interrupt to demonstrate and show my players the correct form, footwork and proper body movement.
Age makes a big difference in how the player performs various soccer drills with and without the soccer ball.
Water break is taken after every 4 reps.
⚽️ AGILITY & SPEED SOCCER DRILLS
(AGILITY LADDER X2, CONES X24, AGILITY POLES X6)
I am still using the same training grid except for removing the agility ladders and agility poles.
Instead, I place 4 big cones on each side to simulate defenders for the players to dribble around.
Boys start on the outside of the cones and dribble the soccer ball up and back through the channel before attacking the defender cones.
I always encourage short controlled touches on the soccer ball.
⚽️ BALL CONTROL, CREATIVITY AND SHOOTING
Core strength plays a major role in every athlete's performance including soccer.
Every youth soccer training session has core strengthening exercises towards the end of the training session.
⚽️ CORE WORKOUT
Boys always finish youth soccer training session session with a fun soccer game.
⚽️ FUN TIME

⚽️ PLAY BETTER!
