FC Arsenal - Introduction
Arsenal soccer club is an English Premier League football club located in Holloway, London.
Arsenal FC is perhaps one of the most successful clubs in English soccer history having won 13 first division titles and 10 FA Cup titles.
Arsenal F C has always been in the top English league making it one of the soccer clubs with the longest uninterrupted period in English premier league.
Arsenal football club is only the second club in English Premier League to finish a season unbeten, during the 2003-04 season, and is the only club to do so across 38 league matches.
First Arsenal Badge was unveiled in 1888 featuring three canyons viewed from above and pointing northwards.
This Arsenal logo was dropped after the move to Highbury in 1913.
Soccer league was put on hold because of the war and this crest was reinstated in 1922, only a few years after the war ended.
Arsenal badge was somewhat changed from the 3 canyons pointing upwards to a single canyon pointing eastwards with the clubs nickname "The Gunners" inscribed alongside it.
This badge only lasted until 1925 when the Arsenal logo was changed again to a single canyon being reversed from pointing eastwards to pointing westwards and the barrell was also slimmed down.
FC Arsenal used a special crest made for FA Cup final appearances during 1930 and 1952 FA Cup final.
A scroll inscribed with the club's newly-adopted Latin motto, Victoria Concordia Crescit "victory comes from harmony" was also added.
For the first time, FC Arsenal crest was done in colour, which varied slightly over the crest's lifespan, finally becoming red, gold and green.
In 2002 they introduced a new crest featuring more modern curved lines and a simplified style.
The cannon once again faces east and the club's name is written in a sans-serif typeface above.
The cannon and green color was replaced by dark blue.
Celebration included modified version of the current crest to an all white crest, surrounded by 15 oak leaves to the right and 15 laurel leaves to the left.
15 laurel leaves to the left side of the Club's crest reflect the six pence pieces paid by 15 men to establish the Club - the laurel leaves also represent strength.
The 15 oak leaves to the right of the crest acknowledge the founders who would meet in the local Royal Oak pub.
Underneath the crest is one of the first recorded mottos related to the armament and battle - 'Forward' - with the anniversary dates of 1886 and 2011 either side of the heart of the shirt.
